ABOUT SHARON:

Sharon Oberst DeFala has been in practice as an attorney since 1992. Her clients include families, couples, and individuals. Sharon has helped her clients navigate all phases of life-cycle events.

In Family law she has helped clients with pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce and separation, custody, visitation, alimony and child support. High net worth families trust Sharon to keep their family matters discreet and cost-effective, she works with other professionals that she brings in for key parts of the process, such as LMFTs (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) and CDFPs (Certified Divorce Financial Planner), as necessary.  Families of more modest means avoid the pitfalls of litigation by working together with Sharon.

Estate planning is one of Sharon's personal passions. She believes that the greatest gift we can give our loved ones is to be there for them when they need us the most. By carefully preparing your estate in advance, you help your heirs and beneficiaries through the most difficult moment of their lives. The moment that you are gone.

For Business clients, Sharon works with solo and small businesses as well as corporations to protect assets, reach reasonable and lucrative deals, and make sure the business stays informed about changes in the legal world.

Sharon serves her community as Vice-Chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Fairfield County.  She is a past president of Congregation Beth El in Norwalk, CT and a former board member of both the Southern New England Consortium of Federations and  Schoke Jewish Family Services.

Her free time is devoted to family, especially enjoying her husband and children perform regionally in music and theater, and spending time with her parents and extended family.
